If people like your friend and the OP didn't act like infants then they wouldn't be suspended at all.

Someone in my current guild got his name changed from "SteveIrwin" to "bummomy" strange how they allow one and not the other lol

He seemed to state it more as fact as opposed to opinion, not that it would have made a difference in the bananation :p
 
I think its stupid for people take comments like this in WoW so seriously that they go crying to Blizzard about it.

search the armory for ****invader. saw a lvl 60 pally of that name for quite a while, how the hell he got to lvl 60 i'll never know but he seems to have a couple of alts that slipped the name ban.
 
Shame it was only 3 hours.

And it's not being overly-PC (god knows I hate the PC brigade normally) to keep racial slurs and homophobia out of your speach. I can't even be bothered explaining why. If you actually can't work it out in seconds then you're certainly not intelligent enough to have an opinion on an entire country of people.

saying things like e-chav deserve suspensions too.

to slate turks for hygene isnt being a chav, its passing an opinion, whether or not thats an educated opinion or not I wont say. Because yes, some turks are dirty, but so are some english, so who really cares.

oh, and I'm glad that something is being done about annoying people like that on WOW as its one of the main reasons I don't bother playing.

MMO's are ALL full of people who spend too much time on them with the specific aim of annoying me, no one else, just me personally! Which is why I stopped playing ALL of them months ago.

An opinion that is 100% guaranteed to cause offence and should not have said on a public chatroom, and it is against their rules so that is another reason not to say it.
