Swap from 980ti to Fury-X?

If i had a Freesync screen and a 980ti, i would try and sell the 980ti and get a Fury and some cash for it and bank the dosh til AMD release something better, and just enjoy Freesync for the time being.

I dont think i would bother trying to get a FuryX either.

Bit of topic but, how did you find the MG279Q Jedi? What was your experience. Was it any good? Apart from possible backlight issues and ips glow was there any other issues?

I assume you never got to try Freesync with it?

Thought it was a great monitor tbh, really liked it. Only switched as got an X34

Well if you can get a fury x without spending any money, maybe even coming out with some cash in your pocket, then sure why not? You have nothing to lose and Freesync is pretty good.

You can live with all the tearing etc and you are achieving ~144fps you are fine. Or if you can leave with the vsync input lag, then again is fine (but doesn't resolve all issues)

Yeah I guess I don't bother with vsync so I can try to get over 100fps if possible.

OP as someone else suggested a Fury pro what about a nano? You might be pleasantly surprised. If anything just until Vega. Since your running 1440p I can verify the performance is very nice. Only at 4k you'd start seeing a bit of a drop.
