Hiya guys,
managed too kill a 250gb drive today when performing a hd
installation, used a molex fan extender (lol hmm a word that rhymes with
eastenders) too power the drive i was using
when i powered the drive it sparked as the fan molex connector was loose so it
didnt fully penetrate the 4th hole thing on the drive ,
tried it in a differnt connector and no joy it didnt work the circuit board is dead,
if i buy an exact clone of the circuit board would it just swap over its a samsung sp2514n 250gb,
also does any experts out there know if is usually possible too move the platters too a different hdd and try that way too recover the data ,
i have original demo recordings and have lost them so wanna try my absolute dust free best tooo get this show on the road
any advice greatly appreciated
irony of it all i was backing up too a new external the only reason i was fitting the drive
I had ran out of power sockets on my power block and couldent fit both adapters in
gutted ah wll had bigger losses not the end of the world ( or my music career )
