SWAPPING OS OVER

I just recently added an new HD https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-206-SE&tool=4 with WIN7 Pro, I wished i'd bought a faster bigger drive and spent an extra £20/30 now as its quite peppy..

What's the safest way to swap everything over to another drive and can anyone recommend a faster drive for £80ish?

What do you mean by 'faster' and by swap everything over do you mean transfer win 7 over then you can't but you can do that to the files on it.

If you mean you need some more space you can get a 2 TB for £80 quite happily here

thanks... the way I see it, I can back up the files onto a 3rd drive, install the OS on the new bigger faster drive and import the files from the 3rd drive via backup and restore?.. is this correct?

will it import office and all my email login details etc... thats the painful bit..
