Swapping sim numbers around

Afternoon

I've got a dilemma on my hands.

I would like to get a new contract, and tranfer my missus number onto it. Seems easy enough, but i would like to get a new contract and transfer my current number as well.

Basically swapping numbers around on 2 sims. Is it possible?

I've read that about 5 times now and I think you must have missed something out. There are currently 2x contracts and you want to get 2x new ones and transfer the old numbers. I don't see how the 2 are connected at all.

Basically there is 1 contract which is mine, i wish to keep the number and start a new contract. Current contract would go to my missus, and i wish to add her number onto it and have my number transferred onto new contract. Say i had 2 sims with 1 provider, and just wanted to switch numbers. You would ask why, cant you just swap sims? no, price plans are different. Sounds confusing even to myself

Got it! Yeah, unfortunately you wont be able to do that. I believe all companies require you to be at the end of the contract before being able to port your number across. This way they get all their contract monies. And, i reckon their systems cannot handle contracts with no number assigned (during the number switches)

However if both contracts will be on the same network, no harm in asking.

And as you say maybe they can switch contracts around - although i highly doubt it.

I will still be the name on the contract and direct debit will come out of my bank. Oh well, cheers for help guys
