I've always imagined Sweden as an ice-cold country, all year round... And boy, was I wrong! Stayed with some friends over the past weekend (Sat-Tues) and had an awesome time. Just a few taster pics, all taken on my TZ10 :)

1. A park we went to for a BBQ.

7. Kebabpizza... The reason I went to Sweden! :P

Some nice composition but I think you've gone overboard with your processing on a few of them.

2. You've lost all the detail in the red by overexposing the red channel I assume. Looks rather radioactive!
7. I assume that isn't natural Bokeh at the bottom of the picture?

3. Wrong time of day IMO, the light is to contrasty, nice composition though, just overpowered by the bright sunny bits.

On the other hand I like 8, 9 and 10, although I'd check the horizons on both 8 and 9!

Very nice photos. Number 9 sets the part. You got some good consistency in your processing and need to show more photos! Got any creative ones?

Thank you. I'll go through some more when I have time :)

I completely agree with everything you've said, I think you hit the nail on the head!

I'll reprocess 2 and see how it goes. You are correct regarding #7, I decided to copy Raymond's technique and use Gaussian blur rather than getting an L f/1.2 lens :p Again, spot on with #3, but we were just passing so theres nothing I could have done about that unfortunately! And the horizons will be sorted.

Thanks a lot :)

8 and 9 need the horizon levelled. But I really like the overall feel of No 9.

11 could be very good but partial reflection which imo doesn't add anything coul dhave done with not being there. Polarising filter for the win.

Also loving the Pizza, good use of DOF.

My god :)

You know how jealous I am of you because of this...I'm on the verge of booking a holiday this year and Sweden is right at the top of possible destinations! It's such a stunning country I doubt I'm going to be disappointed wherever I go! :)

Very jealous mate :)

Aaaaaah, as a Swedette living in England, I really enjoyed looking at these. I miss.... Great photos! :)
You should go Phate - summer is a good time for a first visit to Sweden. Stockholm is beautiful in the summer sunshine! :D
