If you're anything like me, whenever you have nothing available or are trying to be healthy you'll get struck down with a case of sweet-tooth.

What do you normally have to make it go away?

"Something sweet."

Well done. A cookie for you.

Seriously though, what's a good 'fix' when you're trying to be healthy and cut out refined sugar, etc.?

I can't stand artificial sweetener. I can even taste it in things like Fanta (on the rare occassion that I do drink fizzy drinks).

Look at what you're trying to obtain by being healthy... remind yourself why you're doing it. I get a kick out of being disciplined with my diet, don't ever give in. Set yourself a date in which you can have a 'cheat' meal and eat clean until that point.

Find something to do instead, eat fruit or nuts, or fap.

We have nothing even remotely sweet (even fruit or anything like that) in our house at the moment and I have no money with which to buy any with. I feel like murdering something.

Well I tell a lie, we have some honey. And no bread or anything. I feel like going all winnie-the-pooh on this ****.

Eat protein.

Ah yes, maltloaf. That does work, however I got a little sick of it recently due to gorging myself silly on it.

Have you tried the banana version? Seriously, I nearly did... right in my pants. Yum.

Chocolate-coated chicken?

A banana version you say...

Why have I not seen this before, this looks amazing. I need some now!

The original malt loaf is actually pretty nice with peanut butter on it, believe it or not... It's worth trying once just to see how it compared to just butter.

EDIT: I also sometimes have peanut butter on cream crackers if I'm after some sort of snack, not exactly healthy, but no sugar at least. :)

I actually found "training" myself to prefer different sweet foods worked. So I started having fruit and fibre for breakfast, and now I find the raisins and fruit in it very sweet, and often have that if I fancy a sweet snack.

Random, but it works.
