Has anyone used this kit?

and more specifically have they used it with a antec 900 case? does it all fit ok?

also does anyone know if the GPU cooler that comes with the kit will fit a 8800GTS or will i need to get a different cooler for the graphics?

i;ve never had watercooling before but i wuld really like to get into it so im probably going to have lots of questions just wondering if this kit would fit my needs and be compatable with my current set up.

any adivce would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Loki

Ive had my swiftech kit for well over a year and its performed superbly. i bought the basic kit at the time and have added to it.
It currently cools a 8800gtx, the NB and the CPU (as in sig) and the only thing ive chaged is to add a larger res (cylindrical and attached to the rear of the case) My OCed GTX never goes over 45C (OC in Sig).
I had to buy the 8800 series adapter plate due to my gpu block being bought when the 7800gtx was about but im sure the new kits have the adapter plate included, email OCers and ask.
As for the case ive got a Dragon tower case so no probs for me :D

Great Kit and its cooled all my CPU's fine.

Cpu's topping out before the kit was unable to cool them.

The Antec 900 I would avoid for a watercooled rig though.

Get a proper case like the AKASA eclipse 62 :D

Easy, how long after instalation were those photos taken, my coolant looked that green for about 4 months then went a little murky, prob my fault for not flushing the components through first.

easyrider how come u have the pipes going to the rad at the bottom of it.i thought they go to the top of the rad.have i installed mine wrong, but its been working fine for months.what i am saying is i have my rad and fan box mounted the other way round.i also have the antec900 case.

Hi andy dont suppose u have any pics of how it all fits in your antec 900

would be a big help so i can see what it would be like to fit in mine,

cheers

hi m8 i dont have a camera sorry, but its a tight squeeze.fitted the pump above my tagan psu which is located at the bottom of the case.fitted the res behind the fan in the middle with the supplied bracket.only real trouble i had was when fitting the cpu block in the pipes came a bit loose and had a slight leak.when u fit it all together make sure every connection is tight.
wish i could take a picture because i am not sure if i have it installed properly.i have mounted the fan and rad box with the inlet and outlet pipes at the top but in easyrider pics his is at the bottom..

Having the inlet/outlet at the top makes it easier to bleed the system, im sure a vet like easy has a perfect reason for having it that way round. (waits for sarcy comeback from Easy)

Hi mate,

It will go murky its the tubes.

That was a few days after installation.

It was purely for ease of installation.

It makes no difference once the loop is bled.

It was easier to cut through the honeycomb at the bottom of the case thats all.

Plus it reckon it looks better that way.

LOL,

Yeah it was just easier that way.

Makes no difference at all which way you have the rad.

Once all the air is out.

ok stupid question time now then

A) do u have to fill the loop before you attach it to the cpu etc?

B) do u fill it thru the resevoir?) if so do u have to position it so that the res is higher than the rest of the loop so that the whole thing will fill with water?

are these the sort of stupid questions that are answered in the manual?

also does the order of the components make a difference?

should it go, rad, pump, res, cpu, gpu, rad? or again does it tell u these things in the manual?

if anyone could answer all these thing id be very very happy!

cheers for the advise so far

A No, once evrything is connected you should use just the psu without powering up the mobo to fill, blead and run the loop.

B Fill it thru the Res and it does help if the Res is higher but its not uber important

C The order makes little difference other than the Res MUST be immidiatly before the pump.

With the Swiftech kits its all in the manual anyway.
