can this be used with rads other than swiftech? also does the fan in the radbox have to be the one right below the barbs, or will any fan on the rad do?

It can used with any radiator which takes the std 120mm fan and can mounted as you desire

There reasonably solid, I see no problems running the quad.

Not sure about a quad but I'd say probably. I've got a PA120.3 mounted on mine (middle fan) with only two of the four small screws to hold the box together
