Can you park at Swindon train station, if so how much does it cost for the day?

is there anywhere else around that area you can park, I'll be getting to Swindon about 9am.

There's 2 car parks right near it in the main town center, can't remember if you can park at the station itself

As far as I'm aware you can park there, not sure as to the cost though.

I might be wrong, but the big areas full of cars right next to it look like car parks to me!

Don't stay there too long, horrible place!

There is parking at the station, but IIRC it's on one side of the track, and the station footbridge isn't open 24/7 :rolleyes:

Im trying to visualise in my head where the nearest carpark is to it, I just can't do it

I'd just park at the one next to the market (big tent place), which is quite close to the station, if you just follow signs to town center you'll see two multistory carparks next to each other

If you don't want to pay, park on the road that has the turn off for the Oasis (next to where the skateboard park used to be) and walk through to Station Road under the tracks, or over the footbridge to the station (open 6am to 10pm)

If you are happy to pay use the pay and displays (about £7 for the day?)(one on Station Road side, and one on the Oasis side). If you arrive after 8:30 you have no hope in getting a place in the P&D off Station Road. On the Oasis side there are normally some places most of the day unless you are really unlucky..but you then use the footbridge and have to purchase your ticket before being able to enter the station which can be a pain. Parking ticket people are very active - £30 fine last week

and I have a season ticket

Me and my brother parked there went we went to Wembely for the conference play-off final last month and the car-park's right next to the station (less than 1 min from car to station entrance).

It cost us about £3 for the day (it was a Sunday mind so probably cheaper than a weekday).
