If it was me, I'd go for the X2. Higher clocked in the first place and simpler to overclock if you did decide to try it. If stability's your primary concern you may not want to overclock at all.
Then I'm convinced. And even if the X3 would be better in some circumstances, it's worth noting the X2 is considerably faster than what I already have anyway, so I figure I might not have even noticed the X3's slight edge in some areas, let alone appreciated it.
