Switch/Maestro card: Entered incorrect issue number?

Crap, I've just ordered something urgently but I've put the wrong issue number in when filling out the payment details (didn't check properly

) I know there's nothing I can do now, but will it still go through? :confused:

It should do, I put a 6 insted of a 5 (or the other way round) and that worked, the last number has faded so it's hard to tell if it's a 5 or 6.

I did it when ordering something I got a phone call the next morning saying the card had been refused. they checked the details and I got the issue number wrong.

Call/email them and say that you wanna change it. I'm pretty sure mine went through though.

Do you find when ordering internationally most website won't take Maestro? I find this very annoying as it's the only card I have

yes, get a Halifax account with a visa debit card. That's all I use my Halifax account for, as HSBC wont give me a visa Debit card. It acts the same as a visa credit card on foreign sites.

I accidently mistyped my security number thing on the back of my card before, it still went through though, I guess it varies but with this new chip and pin it might not have worked.

Ring them?

It wont make any difference will it?

they can't package and send the item out when there not open, so just phone them first thing.

I notied that too, your best getting a few more cards for the compatibility.
