I currently own a Razer Hunstman Elite and have made the decision to make the switch to a 60% keyboard layout, i have seen and heard about Ducky for years and know they are a go to for many people. I have my eyes set ona Duck One2 Mini but currently do not know which switches, i feel like the best to choices for me would be either red or brown.

I play MMO's and FPS on my computer constantly not sure if that can help anyone give me some advice, thanks.

Reds have been classically preferred for gaming, as the linear switch has smooth uninterrupted travel, whilst the tactile threshold of the Browns can be off putting.

I've tried both and I would agree that reds are better for gaming, however I prefer the brown as it feels a bit more premium when literally doing anything else.

Currently using Ducky One2 SF browns. The arrow keys are a must for me.

Yeah reds seem to be what i am looking for i think, i literally use my pc for gaming and that is about it. Only keys i would miss are the F1 etc but i think i would be able to adapt and use shift + 1 for an additional skillbar (mmo).

I would go for reds if you really care about gaming performance only. Browns are better overall and would recommend them. You should get a switch tester from amazon or ask friends/go to shops with keyboards with switches you want so you can test them out first.

Id also love to know how your experience with the huntsman was. i have a blackwidow that i have just broken and am looking for a new keyboard.

Honestly i really like Razer products, the design and functionality. Not really had an issue or complaint since i have had the huntsman but for now i feel like a smaller keyboard would be a benefit to me as i keep smacking my mouse on the side when playing certain games.

I also used the blackwidow before owning this one and i think it is safe to say you would not be disappointed going from the widow to huntsman.

The ducky mecha mini has caught my eye tbh as it is all black and has full aluminium design, not to keen on the spacebar.

I much prefer browns over reds.
Gives you some kind of tactility and they are not so sensitive so can rest fingers on WASD without pressing them.
If you do any typing at all, I'd say brown.

I type to search google or youtube other than that i just game.

Just the cap design, some kind of pig on it. Easy fix i know just replace it.

It comes with a plain space bar too. All Ducky keyboards come with a few alternative colour custom keys depending on the zodiac year. Mine was Year of the Rat so it came with Rat themed Blue keys.

In fact all the product images including the ones on Ducky's website showed Red Year of the Pig keys, but I must have had a new batch hence Blue Rat.

Its going to be purely down to personal preference.
Is there anywhere you can "test" the two switches?

Unfortunately not but i am pretty sure red would be my go too, i took a leap of faith and ordered a b-grade ducky mecha mini red cherry as they are near impossible to purchase & was the only thing avaliable since last september nearly.

Well, i got my delivery of the b-grade mecha and i kid you not it was the dirtiest thing i have ever purchased. The amount of dust and grime on the keys was unreal.. And to top it off it looked like beard hair/pubes/hair in general all over the pcb.

About 2 hours to clean before even testing but i couldnt touch it or put it near my pc like that.
