switching between windows groovy

i have just installed vista for ther first time and i cannot work out how to switch between multiple windows in that groovy 3D way as demonstrated by others. Please help and make my day.

Click the button on the quick launch next to show desktop or press Windows Key + Tab on the keyboard.

Which version of Vista. My understanding is that the basic version does not have the Aero interface

i have the ultimate version, OEM.
