I purchased a SSD yesterday in the mad £60 deal for an 120GB Kingston. I've never had an SSD prior to this and I was just wondering how would I go about moving windows onto the SSD whilst keeping apps on the HDD? (if its possible)

how much space does windows take up on your hdd? if its less that 128gb you can clone it to your new hdd,if its larger its best to do a clean install on your ssd

remember to set sata ports to ahci mode before you install windows

Ahh crap its around 200GB. I really can't do fresh install though is there anyway to backup apps and stuff then just restore them to Windows?

any big games or files you can back up/delete? back em up to dvd's? try and reduce it to 128gb or less

id just do a clean install on your ssd, then drag/grop what you need from old hdd onto new ssd, keep old windows n all your files on old hdd as a back up? or just delete off what you dont need ect

you can partition it though if you wanna do it that way, whatever works best for you
