Switching from RAID to not RAID...

I previously had a RAID setup with 2 x 120 WD HDs. Now I've got one Seagate 320gig and want to make sure I have RAID disabled. I can't find it anywhere in my BIOS and when I click TAB during startup I just get a warning saying not enough drives for RAID array. I'm about to install another HD (250gig) as I'm setting up a DUAL boot system (like a different PC on each HD) and want to make sure when I install it, it doesnt try and make it part of a RAID setup and merge them together or something. I've already installed XP on my 320 so don't really want to have to do anything that involves starting over again.

Unless you actually setup an array - Each drive should be kept independent.

The RAID controllers don't automatically setup arrays whilst you are not looking.
So I would say you are safe to plug in the extra drive. :)

Well there is a raid array already setup. I'm just using different drives (different sizes too) so I'm defo ok to plug in the other drive without the merging like something from transformers?
