Im currently with one.com but having a couple of issues and with a new site due to launch in the new year I thought it might be an idea to switch to tsohost.

I currently have my emails set up with IMAP and was wondering if there is any way they can be transfered over to the new host? Or is the best way just to set up a pop account on my main computer I use the most and download all the emails from the server so I at least have a local copy?

Thanks

Thanks for the advice. One.com have a custom backed and don't use cpanel and there doesn't appear to be a backup function.

Will speak to tsohost but worst case scenario I can just download the messages locally.

My hosting provider provides our broadband service at work, they have a back up feature in their hosting accounts.
Check out my signature as they have 50% off hosting when you sign up.

Thanks for the recommendation but with tsohost being so highly spoke about on here Im going to go with them.

Any idea how that would be achieved in Thunderbird? Ive had a look into account settings and there are only options for sent messages and archives.

There is a section on sunchronisation which has an options to "synchornise all messages locally regardless of size"?

You basically drag and drop from your IMAP inbox to a local folder (under 'Local Folders').

Oh I see, I assumed there would have been a more complex way of doing it!

There isnt a "inbox" folder under local folders but am I correct in thinking that its ok just to create a new folder and copy them accross to there?

Thanks again.
