Im thinking of signing up but the payment details are stopping me. I have to pay all my bills at the beginning of the month as I tend to run out of money at the end! So unless I know when they will bill me I cant switch.

I have enjoyed a few weeks of great service with Be so far, just signed up another friend and will be hooking him up tomorrow. . .
Just got this email from Be, looks like the prices just got even better!
Had my first network outage last night at about 3am, called tech support and listened to a message explaining that the network was down and engineers were working on it, woke up this morning and everthing is fine!

Dont forget if you sign up via quidco you should get upto £55 for changing
which helps reduce the connection fee and pays for a month or 2.
By the way did you sign up for their email, I notice they charge £2 pm for that facility. Its may be possible for you can carry on on using tiscali email name (been using mine for years via Zen)

So you signed up on the 20th and had to pay by the 1st? Am I reading that right?
Just another quick update.
So I got around to installing STEAM as there are quite a few games I have been meaning to play on there. As I downloaded my games I appreciated having a speedy broadband service and looked forward to some online fragging.
Got Team Fortress® 2 (TF2) installed and had quite a few games however I noticed that every three of four games would lag out after 10-15 seconds and disconnect me?
Couldn't quite understand what was happening but a friend suggested I have a read of Be's Forums to see if there was some settings for the router. Sure enough there was sticky with the follwing post. . .
I don't really understand what this fix does but I followed the instructions and glad to say it all appears to be working great now, been playing loads of games and not one disconnect yet!
I think this Be Broadband is great for gaming, I seem to be nearly always the first person into the maps and nearly always have the lowest Ping.

FFS why not tell me that before I signed up. It only says they will freeze the ammount of your first bill but not how much.

They could and should probably make it a little more clear but tbh, it would make sense that your first bill would be for 1month + connection fee.
I should be changing to Be next year once my Virgin Media contract is up as the 20MB service is very poor for me. Sometimes webpages don't load ect ect.. hopefully Be will be very good and provide a nice speed. Plus the prices are great for the download and upload speeds.
