Well looks like Be are now up and running at my local exchange.. Hoping somebody might be able to clarify some things for me. I'm currently on Freedom 2 Surf LLU 8mb, synched at 7mb and maxing it out (Not sure why i'm synched at 7mb tbh).

Samknows shows 777m from Exchange (As crow flies) and estimated 5.5mbps+ on ADSL Max. Now will i actually see a difference if i switch to Be? Like i say i currently synch at 7mb (used to be 8, don't know why it dropped) and it maxes that out at about 720kb/s.

Should i ask F2S to change my synch to 8? Also, how much hassle will it be to migrate to Be's service? Is it LLU? Is there such a thing as an LLU to LLU migration or will there need to be a cease on my line prior to switching to Be?

Help please! :)

F2S use SMPF LLU I believe in the same way as BE do so yes, you can move using a MAC.

The only time you can't is if you are moving from or to MPF LLU which is where both your phone and your data are 'owned' by someone other than BT, Bulldog for example do this.

As a general rule, ADSL2+ will give the most noticeable improvements when you are already getting a full 8128 sync on Max but you will often get smaller but useful increases even below that and it doesn't sound like you are much below that.

If you phone BE they will give you an estimate, but that is only based on BT provided data so it is not exactly reliable.
