If you manually type each letter of the miss-spelled word you want to use, it will add it to the dictionary. You still might struggle with it suggesting real words for your trace though.
 
I use shapewriter which is basically the same, couldn't be without it anymore. Is just an easier way to text. Much quicker too.
 
That prompt that brings up suggested words at least half the time needs to be somewhere else, you can't easily type (sorry swype) words quickly when you have to change the phone position every few seconds to tell the thing what word you were trying to type, sorry swype.

I find it slower and harder than typing, sure if it didn't want me to choose what word I was typing every other word it might work.

You don't have to. If the word you were trying to type is at the top of the list (and it usually is), then starting the next swype will auto select it and add a space for the next word too.
 
Swype is awesome, its turned me from always looking for a hardware qwerty phone to a straight touch screen as its just plain better than a normal phone keyboard.

Beware that I had all kinds of problems with the new june beta and app2sd, had to manually copy the apk to system/app myself in the end.
 
Really couldn't get on with this, I tried it but I found myself frequently moving my thumb all over the place with no discernible pattern :p
 
Nearly launched my HD2 across the room trying to type on it, doesn't help that my thumb is the same size a 3 keys though :(
 
have swype on my hd2 now all my mates with the same phone have it and those who cant have it want it.

Makes writing Emails and texts 100X faster.
 
Would love to have it back on my Magic. Unfortunately my trial run out and can't find another/any where to buy it. I feel lost typing on my phone without it now...
 
This thing is awesome. One of the main things I hated about my hero was typing out messages - now its so easy with swype.

Does any one know when this gets an official release?

Not sure,cant find it on the website.Shouldnt be long after they close the beta i suppose.
Anyone know?
 
Gave this a try, what a revolution. Takes some getting used too, but the speed at which i can now swype is amazing ! I`ll admit im a little late on the take up :rolleyes:
