might be wrong but seems like they are worrying about googles andriod saying things like the following to scare them off

"It's costly, arduous and at times a deeply unsexy job of supporting customers day by day in launching phones"

I don't know may be wrong but thats the impression i got, seems like they are saying its rubbish doing this job so don't. I welcome googles andriod amnd can't wait until its out. What happened to google making a pc os? was that just a rumour or were there actual plans to make one?

Wasn't the idea that they move all your everyday tasks to an online version such that you can access them from anywhere with a net connection and browser. With Gmail, Google Cal, Google Docs, Google Chat etc. they're not far off, just need to tie it all together in a slick interface so that an Average Joe can use it seamlessly :)

They should be worried - ignoring the conspiracy and spy theorists, i think Google are a wicked company for the average user, bring hugely useful tools for free - and the android platform will just help them get that little bit futher in creating a fully integrated platform for themselves.

(after all, who looks at adverts anyway? i say, well done to the google machine for their billions)

I'd be more worried if I was Microsoft. HTC seem to be the most enthusiastic hardware manufacturer for Android.
