Symptoms of failing PSU?

Hi,

What would be the symptoms of a failing PSU?
PC works fine most of the times but there are some small strange problems not happening in the past...

Any noises that it's making are going to be pretty obvious as well. If it's gotten louder, making noises that it doesn't normally make, that can be why. Just keep an ear out, and look for what stulid's said.

This plus not starting in the first place, or takes several attempts to start.

I generally have some strange problems and have ordered some new dimms listed on the Asrock Z77 memory list. If this doesnt work I will have to look into the PSU.

As far as temp is concerned, 7970 tops at 83oC with Furmark...

A 550-650watt will be ok for your spec with a single card.

If yes which voltage should I look? and what kind of variation (min-max) should I be worried about?

On legacy systems you'd be looking at something like this. A decrease of 0.5V or more is cause for concern.

A decrease of 0,5V is proportionally different in 3,3 and 12V. My voltages right now while surfing are:
Vcore: 1,034V
+5: 5,064V
+3,3: 3,360V
+12: 12,091V

Is there any software I could log these voltages?

Vcore: 1,206V - 1,210V
+5: 5,016V - 4,992V
+3,3: 3,328V - 3,312V
+12: 11,933V

7970 GPU temp: 83oC

Vcore: 1,202V - 1,215V
+5: 5,040V - 4,992V
+3,3: 3,344V
+12: 12,038V - 12.091V

CPU temp:53oC, mobo:42oC
