When I attempt to sync with my NAS I get quite a few errors, I did some reading up and found it was an issue in previous versions but I use 2.1.

Any fixes?

Errors?

What NAS is it?

I'm not really a fan of general NAS, as the timing stamps that some use are incompatible with synctoy and other sync apps. I prefer using a lite windows machine as a fileserver

I'm about to try SyncBack for the first time, previously been a long term user of SyncToy x64 but this seems to have a lot more control and be better on resources to speed up backups.

Will see.....

Just to check though, this is the settings I need to Sync Sourc > Destination and delete anything on destination that doesn't exist on Source right?

In Synctoy it was called "Echo" synchronisation!

Looks OK to me.

Anything new on the left [source] is copied to the right [destination]. Anything on the right not on the left is deleted.

If you are still unsure test it with some dummy files.

Excellent stuff. I need to get a 2TB drive pair soon I think at this rate and a separate 500GB drive for the system images!

You might also like to take a look at FreeFileSync - it has many more features than the freeware version of Syncback, and it's also much faster (particularly over a network). :)

SyncBack worked perfectly!

My next Backup run I will try FreeFileSync!

Edit*

Wow FreeFileSync is awesome, just installed to see its UI/compare method etc, I shall uninstall SyncBack right now :)

Oh it's 64bit too :D

^ Now THAT is a compare report screen that shines above the rest!
