I'd imagine that it'd play nicely with WinUAE.

I managed to completely it without cheats too, though it was the work of a long long long time

Someone should make a new version of it sometime...

Did anyone get the sound to work on xp?

I can play syndicate wars just find on my pc.. but without any sound.. damn sound blaster pro's

I played the Amiga version when it first came out. It is an absolute masterpiece of a game. I remember being totally blown away by the graphics and the cut scenes. I liked the fact you could choose your missions and take over the world your way (unlike Syndicate Wars which felt linear).

My personal favourite weapons were the minigun - watching the enemy agents get blasted across the screen with the satisfying little animation they did - and the mind control device. The shotgun was also just as satisfying as the super shotgun in doom 2!

I've been hoping someone will remake this game for years with spruced up gfx and the same gameplay/ missions.

i might have to get it on the amiga then, anyone know how the graphics compaired to the PC?

I remember them being slightly more crisp on the Amiga.

Graphics were quite a large improvment on the Amiga iirc - Back then Amiga's rocked a whole lot more than PCs for games

How can this thread have got this far without anyone mentioning the flame thrower???

I used to thoroughly enjoy taking out a crowd of innocent bystanders with the flame thrower, and watching them all run around on fire!!!

Must admit I've not actually tried it yet, it's one of those things you find at work and keep forgetting to look up when you get home.

yeah it's quite cool, although i had trouble moving around the screen, it's still early days though.... great find mate!
