Hi,

I appear to be having an issue with my Synology drive:

The hard drive itself is reporting as healthy, but not the Storage pool.. Recommendation is to remove the storage pool and recreate it.

I've got a couple of questions:
1) Does this mean the new Storage pool can be created using the same hard drive? (considering it is reporting healthy)
2) This storage pool is where DSM is installed, will this complicate things, or will it re-install DSM on the new Storage Pool I create?
3) Is it recommended to buy a new HDD and use this instead?

1. Yes
2. No, yes if required. Save your settings (as well as the data) before doing anything and restore them if DSM does need to be re-installed.
3. I don't think so. You seem to have corrupt data rather than a hardware problem. This could be caused by a hardware problem but it's going to be hard to tell until it re-occurs. Are there any relevant entries in the logs?
