Have the above, have 1 user trying to map to it upon login, says unable to reconnect drive.. Have to re enter credentials AGAIN and is getting a bit boring..

Tried creating a little batch file as so:

net use z: \\192.168.0.239\george /USER:Sunnyside\george password:##########

have tried clearing any mapping using net use * /d /y and tried remapping using batch - doesnt work complains about password...

Tried mapping in My Computer, works for that session but once restarts it loosese the credentials. Have checked the credential manager but doesnt seem to make any difference.

This works for other computers on the network but not the synology box.

The firewall on the box is fully open.

Username and password are correct.

Any ideas?

I use the same credentials on windows and the synology.. so same username and password for the shared folders on the NAS and the user account on windows. Works every time

Can you try it without as you dont need it. You'd only need it if you had a domain controller called Sunnyside to authenticate against.

No worries, you can also go into your user account settings in the control panel and into the password manager (manage your credentials). You could save the password in here for that server.
