HI Peeps

I was hoping someone could help me. I have a Synology NAS and I have set up Synology Drive Client to back up my data drive that has my music photos documents etc. Now it took a while to back up the first time and I found out my VPN was throttling the transfer like no ones business. SO I turn the VPN off when I want to do a big back up and have just continuous sync the rest of the time.

My problem is some folders and files are just not uploaded. I check the Drive Client log and it says they are uploaded but they are not on the NAS drives. I have tried manually forcing a back up but this has no effect. Drive Client is very pleased with itself as it's up to date....... except it's not.

Any suggestions as how to resolve this? Can I wipe the logs for instance and make it start from the beginning again?

Also I have a tonne of game saves that are on the NAS back up drive that are just a waste of space, they no longer exist on the computer and I have unselected those folders from the back up process now. Can I just manulally delete them?

Any help much apprecited.

Well I managed to work out the problem with my NAS backing up. Late last year they updated the DSM, the operating system, and several of the apps updated at the same time. What it didn't tell me was although I was using the same app or new equivalent on the same product the save paths changed. So since January my back up were happening just not in to the folders that they had for the previous 2 years.

So I'm relieved it's working I just don't know how to integrate the 2 different but overlapping sets of back ups.

Much heartache would have been avoided if this had been mentioned somewhere more prominent.
