Synology NAS v3 Beta released

A quick heads up for those with a Synology NAS, the DSM (Disk Station Manager) version 3 beta is up for testing.

It has more of an OS feel to it, rather than a 'router web login' as before.

Just going to give it a try now.

That looks good. I wish LG would do something like this for their Nas web front.

Yeah its good, just been using it. Works quick and is easy to navigate.

would you recommend using this on a live system? I have the ds710+ and I am considering installing it but not if its likely to go badly wrong.

I always wait for the DSM to be be released before upgrading to a new version as I can't afford to lose the data. Not to mention a backup of everything first.

yeah thats just it, i dont have the spare capacity to back it up. thanks shine, will wait until its rtm.......
