Hey guys, I have been playing with the idea of building a computer for gaming. I also want to keep the price as low as possible, I have a list of the main components I will buy to start off with, and will buy the rest of the parts at a later date.

Here is a list I have of the main components, can anyone recommend where I can save money, while keeping the same specs. I wanted the price to be around £400, but looking at these, it may not be possible.

Thanks

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-4670 3.40GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £179.99
1 x Gigabyte Z87X-D3H Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £127.99
1 x XFX Pro 850W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £74.99
1 x Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU) £53.99
1 x Crucial V4 64GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive £37.99
Total : £486.35 (includes shipping : £9.50).

You could pick a Z87-D3HP board and ignore SLI/Crosssfire altogether.

Drop the PSU down to a Antec HCG520W which will be ample for a ATI7970 or GTX770/780.

Then you could afford a 4670K.
