System Alarm

For some reason, what I assume is, my system alarm keeps going off at what appears to be random intervals. At first I assumed it was the warning sound for the CPU Fan stopping, so I quickly shut down the computer as I assumed I probably should.

However, it appears to now be going off randomly - Especially after computer restarts. Not shutdowns, but it will go off every time I restart.

What could possibly be causing this? Its getting very, very annoying. I havn't turned it off completely in BIOS yet, its still set to warn me if the CPUFan stops, and I would like to keep it that way.

My specs are:
IP35-E
Q6600
2GB OCZ RAM
8800GT

This happens in both Vista and Linux, if that makes any difference.

Hmm, other immediate thought would be a case intrusion alarm? If you've got your CPUFan running at a very low RPM that could be the issue, although tbh I'd expect the machine to stay off or offer a continuous alarm if that was the case.
