My build is almost complete, but im unsure of PSU to go with it, I'm guessing it'll be 650-750w, but I'd rather have a better idea and some suggestions of what I need and maybe why if possible? I'm not planning to oc if that makes a difference, but might add another GPU later down the line, but not crucial. My system is below, all questions/suggestions welcome!

AMD FX-8350
Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
16gb (2x8) DDR3 Kingston HyperX black 1600mhz
120gb Kingston HyperX 3K SSD
1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD
Asus 7870 2gb Direct CU2
DVD-RW

+1 for the 750 watt PSU this will allow you to have a good amount of head room and expansion options going forward.

I know you say you are not planning on OC'ing your 8350 but if there is a chance you might then this will increase your power needs.

Looks like that is decided then, XFX it is!

I've been on two sites that can "calculate" what kind of wattage the PSU needs to be, one said 640w and the other said 440w! I'm just glad that this is a lot more consistent and reliable!

Its the first two that gave me the two different calculations, the 440w looked far too low! I'll pop on the other 3 and see what numbers come up, cheers!

Asus - 640
Coolermaster - 440
MSI - 440
BeQuiet - 550

Still surprised there is quite a difference between them, but I'll go for a 750w, just incase I go for a second GPU later in the year or add anything else.

I was edging towards the Corsair GS700 before I started the thread, but an extra £3/£4 for an extra 50w & seems to be the first choice for people here.

Corsair HX / AX 750
XFX 750W PSU
SeaSonic 750W PSUs

Corsair and XFX PSUs are re branded seasonics.
Personally, I'd recommend Corsair because of their support. If you ever have a problem with yours, tell them and they'll create RMA tickets. They seem to replace everything even when it's over the warranty time period.

I would rather have a Seasonic or XFX over a Corsair, just heard too many bad things about them.

Might have XFX or Seasonic parts but still.

The Corsairs are not all re-branded Seasonics. Seasonic only make three Corsair psu's now, HX650, AX760, AX860. All the rest are either CWT (the vast majority), Flextronics or Chicony Power Technology. See here. I suggest you check up on that before advising people to part with their money. That's the second post you have incorrectly advised someone about Corsair.
