Ok, For your budget, here are some options. Top two options are Gsync, bottom 2 are Freesync

Dell S2716DG monitor + GTX 1080 - Total Price £1028.

OR

Dell S2716DG Monitor + GTX 1070 - Total Price £918

Or

Acer Predator XG270HU + Vega 56 - Total Price £977

OR

Acer Predator XG270HU + Vega 64 - Total Price £1007

All great options.

IF you plan to go VR I would go for either of the first two options. VR is better on Nvidia cards at the moment. That's not to say that the Vega cards will improve in that area, I am sure they will. But for now, Nvidia is better.

But, if you have no problem with waiting, then I would hang on until Black Friday and buy whatever upgrades you are going to buy during that weekend. OCUK usually have some amazing deals on around that time. As well as that, Vega cards might have dropped in price by then, as well as further improvements from AMD with new driver releases.

Ask again when we know what deals are available during Black Friday :)
