Hey all,
Made a post recently about the itch and am now considering possible specs, my current PC:
AMD X2 4800+ 2.4Ghz S939
Asus A8r32-MVP Delux Mobo
2x 1GB PC3200 OCZ DDR1
2x 300GB Maxtor 7,200RPM SATA HDD
ATI X1950XTX 512MB PCI-E
Cooler Master Praetorian 730
Enermax eg701ax-ve 600W PSU
Now I would be taking a couple of things from my current PC and replacing the rest, the spec I am looking at:
I would be reusing the following parts:
2x 300GB Maxtor 7,200RPM SATA HDD
Cooler Master Praetorian 730
Enermax eg701ax-ve 600W PSU
Now the questions:
1) Will my PSU be sufficient for this setup, in terms of connections etc?
2) Is there any problem size wise that stuff will not fit in my case?
3) What do you think of this spec? Is there anything I should change, or anything over the top I could save money on?
4) Is the motherboard any good for overclocking? I ask as I note that the CPU and RAM seem good for around 4Ghz, which sounds quite nice, if a little over the top!
5) Is this a good choice of graphics card? I note that the cheaper 4870 offers slightly higher FPS but that this card is DX11 as a bonus.
Thanks for any help!
