Hi guys, I'm looking to downsize my system as I no longer game on it. It currently sits under my desk and gets in the way a bit.

Here is my current spec

Silverstone Fortress FT01
i5 2500k
8Gb RAM
250Gb Samsung Evo SSD
1TB HDD
ATi 6950
Corsair HX850
Samsung BluRay drive

My uses are

Playing films - HDMI out to AV receiver (Bitstreaming is essential)
Playing music - USB to an external DAC
General browsing - Connected Display Port to Dell 23" monitor

I'd want it to be near enough silent.

What could I use from my existing system and what new parts will I need to buy, choosing a case first.

Am I going to be limiting my size by keeping the BluRay drive?

Any help or advice would be great.
Thanks

I would get a new case & motherboard:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte H77N-WIFI Intel H77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Mini ITX Motherboard £89.99
Total : £89.99 (includes shipping : ).

I would recommend checking out the Members Market for an ITX motherboard as they will save you ££.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Corsair Obsidian Series 250D Mini ITX Compact Gaming Case - Black (CC-9011047-WW) £71.99
1 x Antec ISK 600 Small Form Factor ITX Chassis £64.99
1 x Lian Li PC-Q27B Mini-ITX Cube Case - Black £54.95
1 x Lian Li PC-Q07B Mini-ITX Case - Black £45.95
Total : £237.88 (includes shipping : ).

You could even sell your PSU and get a low wattage Superflower.

I have a Gigabyte Z77 UD3 I believe, full size ATX.

Thanks for the replies, I'll check out those cases later and see how much room they will save me. Like the Corsair one.
