System not modified

what operating system you using ?
if it's vista all you need to do is boot up from CD ROM, cant remember about xp but i think you need a boot up disk.

yeah i have the Original window vista 64 disc but if i re-install it keep old files or so
btw check the post before your last one to see what happens with the gfx card driver

this may sound dumb but how do i do a full re-install of windows never done it before

First of all backup any data you may need. 2nd do you have the CD/DVD?

If you run windows 7 or vista you can take image backups so you never have to do a full reinstall if all goes wrong like it is now. (Need spare HDD)

If your on xp and have a spare harddrive you can use a program called Acronis instead.

This is probably going to take you all day to get your system back to where it was.

Can you let me know if you have used a different gpu in you rig other than the gx2?

Nah ive never used another gfx card only this one however im getting this when i enable it on device manager and it trys to install the driver

Windows found a driver software for your device but encounterd an error while attempting to install it.

Dont install the driver, does it say roll back drivers/uninstall.

basically you want the device manager to say VGA on the display output, so that you can install clean drivers

did you get any problems before you downloaded the lastest drivers from Nvidia?

what you need to try and do is clear the old drivers completely.

yeah i have the cd that came with it already tried uninstalling the drvers in safe mode and using the cd to install them drivers in normal mode still get the same thing

So when does it crash, half way through installation or at the beginning.

ok try this.
1 safe mode
2 uninstall via add/remove programs
3 run windows normal, don't install drivers
4 goto add/remove any drivers there? should say VGA adaptor in device manager.
5. Restart computer
7. Load drivers via disk
