Was browsing about the "this week only deals" and this rig took my eye http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-035-OP&groupid=43&catid=1444&subcat= ..if i were to take the option of the 5770 gpu would it be fine for some gaming?

GTX460 1gb way better than the 5770 and for not a lot more cash. Well 30% more cash I suppose, but my point is the 460 is definitely the sweet spot for value for money atm.
It does of course depend on the resolution and game you're planning on playing though. The 5770 should be a fine card up to 1600x1050, then I think for the latest games you may have to start compromising on in-game settings to keep the the fps up.
