Start off by getting the memory tested. You have to do things via a process of elimination, also what PSU do you have and is the PC clogged up with dust? If it is then try giving it a spring clean.

Hi ty for your reply the PSU is a Q-Tec PSU 400W DUAL FAN GOLD (atx 12v)
And i have to admit looking inside.. it does seem fluffy on some parts..

Get a can of Compressed air, that generally is pretty good at blowing the dust out of hard to reach places.

Should only be a few quid and lasts quite a while.

Thanks schumi84 .. i know my computer is old but it still does what i want it todo.. would be nice to keep it going until i save enough to buy a new one

Haha. When my CPU was getting a bit hot, i had a look at *** Heatsink on it and it was clogged with dust. Short few bursts of compressed air sorted it out and dropped the temps by quite a lot.

Looks like you will be upgrading at a good time with all the price cuts and all due to the new tech coming out.
