I just wish that SS1 could be remade with a modern graphics engine. Being able to re-define the keys would be start

Saw the tread title and came in to say exactly that. In fact, I'd go one better and say second best game of all time behind Deus Ex, not just FPS (or FPS/RPG, whatever)

Just lost myself in happy memories of how awesome a playing experience it was all those years ago. Not many games inspire that kind of nostalgia...
 
A somewhat overlooked title maybe, due to the popularity and timing of release of other games during that period such as Half Life and Deus Ex. What a gem it is.

For a second I thought you said "overrated" and was raging hard :p

I think it's as good as Deus Ex. An almost perfect game.
 
Easily one of the best games I've ever played. One of the decks has a small area only accessible by grav lifts. The hours I spent cowering in there while hearing doors open and close below as 'things' tried to hunt me down!

For me it has one of the best story lines I've experienced, and is the best 'old' title I have picked up (only eleven years after its release). :D
