It looks fine but you still need a graphics card which is why I recommended the ASRock, the Gigabyte(specifications here) doesn't have onboard graphics and your 9500 is AGP so won't fit. As wizardmaxx mentions you will also need a heatsink and fan for the OEM CPU, I'd suggest an Arctic Cooler 7.

I've had a think and i reckon this setup would be overkill for me, what about a cheap AM2 setup with onboard graphics, i don't know which nforce chipset to look at cause there's so many!

Would i notice a big increase even with just a 3000+ ?

Current spec is:

xp 1700+ @ 1.84ghz
768mb PC2100 @ 166mhz
Epox 8rda+
Radeon 9500NP 128mb

cpu/mobo/mem/psu for under 200, that possible or am i just shooting myself in the foot trying to get all that for under 200.

Obiously going to be an improvement on what u got (and only on the cpu), but u will say in 6mnths time ... I should have done things differently

Maybe... but i've had this current system for like 4 years now and technically its still fine for what i do, i just want something quicker.
