you ideally need a motherboard that runs both pci-e slots at the same speed, so both cards get the same bandwidth.

the two slots maybe 16X in physical size/length, but won't be electrically connected at that.

Your PSU choice is overkill and you could probably get away with 850w or even 750w. I suggest waiting for the new SandyBridge CPUs before purchasing also. Instead of the two Seagates in RAID0 you could purchase an SSD for your OS.

Dam that was quick,lol
You got and mobo`s in mind ?

They are all out of stock,

This is the specs of that ASUS board in your opening post,

http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=9i872VNaAILRp8bS&templete=2

1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (single at x16)
1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (@x4 mode, 2.5GT/s, black slot)

The second slot runs at 4X speed when a second card is inserted.

In saying that not to fussed in the cross fire,
I mean the only game i play is battlefield and so its not needed really,
Its just one of them things i would like to do.
