Somewhere Fabulous...
Hi guys. My pc has recently started randomly shutting itself down. It doesn't do it all the time, sometimes it will go a week without doing it but its starting to annoy me. I know PC's are picky swines and generaly have their own quirks, but this doesn't seem to have any pattern to help me figure out whats wrong.

Basically it will shut down sometimes when playing games, sometimes when encoding dvd's, sometimes when editing audio, sometimes when its doing absolutely nothing!! I installed Everest as i thought it may be a voltage issue and these are the readings....

Voltage Values:
CPU Core 1.39 V
+2.5 V 1.22 V
+3.3 V 3.36 V
+5 V 5.05 V
+12 V 12.10 V
+5 V Standby 5.05 V
VBAT Battery 3.09 V
Debug Info F 46 6E 2C
Debug Info T 35 44 48
Debug Info V 57 4C D2 BC BD 5E AC (41)

They all look fine, apart from the +2.5V which is showing 1.22V, surely thats not a good sign...

Any help will be much appreciated! thanks!

The rails look fine.

2.5v isn't a supplied rail, it's regulated on board. Everest is probably reading the IC monitoring Vtt, bridge voltage etc etc...

It could be restarting for many reasons, who knows why...

Have you tried the usual memtest/prime/orthos/weapon of choice method of elimination? Has it always done this or is it since a recent addition of hardware?
