System switching off

Hi guys,

Just got round to moving everything into my corsair 600T white case and suddenly the system stays on for 3-4 seconds and then completely switches off. The CPU LED flashes before it turns off... If I don't put in 8PIN CPU connector then it doesn't just turn off

Sabertooth 990fx AMD mobo with phenom 965

Was all working before but yeah... New heatsink and PSU too. What shall I try? Going to sleep now but would like some stuff to try in the morning. Yes I'm plugging in the right 8 pin for the CPU.

So the problems disappear when you don't attach the 8 pin CPU connector? I'm guessing that's not what you meant.

I'd point my finger at the new PSU. What brand and wattage?

Well the problem doesn't disappear but it doesn't just turn off.. 850w XFX.

Really going to sleep now. Yeah quite unfortunate that I can't get it working... I work away during the week and was looking forward to this

Also I'm reluctant to blame the hardware because I'm not amazing with computers so it might be me being silly... With that said I haven't had this before when putting stuff together

Just tried old PSU and the same problem occurs. Any ideas on what to try next? :/

Could always clear the CMOS
