I've always had a problem with high system temperatures. I blame most of this down to my case, a Cooler Master Mystique 631 - a good looking case but not the best for cooling, as the front intake fan is somewhat blocked by the HDD cage. in addition, my 8800 GTS 512 also adds a significant amount of heat to the problem....
I have just installed an EP45 UD3R gigabyte motherboard, as I was getting random problems - I'm pleased with the M/B but the system temp hasn't dropped at all, which i was hoping it would.
My system operates around the 54C mark, with the CPU idling around the 26C mark and only rising to 46ish C under prime95.
Is this system temp too much??? - will it cause problems??? I have got a couple of antec spot coolers which i might install, pointing at the south bridge which feels as though it is the hottest heatsink - I'd rather not add to the noise, however, if it isn't necessary...
Thanks all
