System Time

First of all Hope you all had a good Christmas

Not sure about this one as its the first time it's happened to me since '92
My system clock does not run in BIOS and in windows time resets it's self after about an hour. The Asrock z77 is about 1.5 years old.
Like I said I have never had to replace a battery in a PC so not sure if this is the issue. Any ideas?

Have you tried removing the battery for about 15 minutes?
Have you tried updating the bios?

I would just replace the battery, They usually outlast the PC's lifetime but if its still an issue after you replace it you know its not the battery.
