system wont boot

hi all,

basically windows has corrupted and it refuses to boot which im not really worried about as this is easily fixable with a format but the pc has been pass worded and documents protected in windows now i can plug in a new drive and boot from that but it wont let you into the user documents as they have been protected is there anyway to recover the documents?

Yes, you can take control of the folders through the properties of it. I forget the exact bits, but its certainly possible

even though it was protected when a password was put onto the account?
