Hey Overclockers

Been having trouble since friday, was hoping it would pass but nothing has really changed. My computer simply refuses to do anything at all when i press the power button, the light on the motherboard is turned on so there shouldn't be any problem with the power, and i've tried several different plugs. Is there any way to test which part i need to replace?

Do you get any beeps? I had this issue and it was because my RAM modules were only half-in.

Nope nothing at all happens, no sounds, no fans, nothing, i press the power button and literally nothing happens. I used the computer friday morning and when i got home it was in this state. I'm hoping it's just the PSU since i was planning to replace that anyway, but is there any way to test this without trying to find another PSU?

have you tried shorting the power pins on the motherboard? you never know it might just be the on switch thats broke

I'm gonna try that, i don't have the slightest idea how to do it but will try to check with my dad. If it is indeed the PSU that is broke, do any of you have a good replacement in mind? For the system in my sig, probably about 500w, but would really prefer a low noise level.
