I have a system which I bought and built from OCUK:

Krypton Intel Core i7 960 3.20GHz @ 4.00GHz Overclocked Bundle

which Consists of a Gigabyte gax58usb3 mainboard, 6gb or RAM and the Intel Chip.

with a GT560Ti and a OCZ ZS Series 650W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply.

It's been running perfectly for 4 or 5 months, and I just opened it up to give it a quick de-dust, since I put it back together it and switched it on and it is completely dead.

I've taken everything but the CPU and RAM out and it is still dead, not even any LED lights on the MB.

I'm guessing the PSU is dead?

You've definitely put it back together the way it was up first time round? Easy to forget a cable somewhere :)

Try a clear CMOS.

I don't think it will make a difference.

There is two LED's one green and one red on the motherboard which would light up as soon as the PSU was connected and they are not lit at all at the moment.

The only thing I took out originally was the GPU to clean the fans and plugged it straight back in so all cables are still connected.

Double check all the cables, reseat the RAM, check PSU/power cable/switch, is the case switch plugged in correctly? Just double check it all, you don't know you haven't knocked something. Easy to do.

+1 on what beejjacobs said...

resit everything that is vital... cpu, ram and gpu and cooler, no HDD... this will help find the problem with only the core components in.
