Really need some assistance here , I've never delved to deeply into ram speeds but after buying some new kit and comparing against others I notice mine are running awful.

I grabbed a few tools from reading other threads but do not know where to start <?>

I notice this guy has same memory and achieving much speeds also :-

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/foru...-argb-ddr4-some-timings-and-results.18893600/

I have XMP profile enabled in bios and the current timings are 18-22-22-22-42 @4000mhz

Since running above I have had to drop memory to 3800hz to remain stable no drop out games , + clear memtest.

In your ZenTimings window look at the top right corner. MCLK, FCLK and UCLK. These should all read the same value (typically 1800 or 1900 as discussed below). You generally only get good performance when these values are synched on the Ryzen platform.

If you set your RAM to 3800 depending on other things, all those 3 values should now show 1900. This is exactly half of 3800 and this is what you want (if stability is not an issue).

If you still have performance issues set your RAM to 3600 and it should now all read 1800 (half of 3600) in ZenTimings window.

Basically 3600 is around the max RAM speed you can go before issues start to creep in and if you are not experienced fixing it can be difficult. This is why running a RAM speed of 3600 is considered optimal on Ryzen.

If you want you can have a play around with tightening timings around the 3,600 range but if not and you are still in return window consider replacing with a 3600 kit.

Just setting RAM to 3800 may not sync the IF clocks. You will also need to set an IF of 1900.

Having said that, we do not know if your CPU can run an IF of 1900 yet - most will but.

Search for mrpils in the mem forum and read his very detailed instructions on IF clocking.

Once you've followed those, mrpils has also.written detailed information on Samsung B die clocking but we need to know what ICs your ram has (probably b die looking at the XMP timings). Typhoon burner to pull that info
