But the current phone range seems completely rubbish! Anyone recommend anything from their current line up?
What do I want from a phone? As much as poss, but also have an iPhone anyway
 
Well if you're happy with your iphone, why not get a sim only contract?

I'm sure you don't need reminding what the best phones on T-Mobiles lineup is considering the top 20 threads in this subforum cover them.
 
Want a phone, current one is crap so want a new one regardless :p

and a sim only renewal for 18 months wouldn't really save me anything
 
Well as I'm sure everyone else will say it.... HTC Desire.

I intend on getting one as long as T-Mobile come up with a good deal. I have 3 lines and a large bill month after month so I'm looking for something special.
 
I would hardly say the line up is rubbish, first network with the HTC Desire, G2, HD2, Blackberry Bold and 8520, iphone 3gs to current customers... whats rubbish about that?

Not wanting another iPhone and no interest in blackberrys really. Upgrade page didn't show g2 or hd2 :(
 
Just look on the normal 'new customer' page as it were and give them a call specifying what you want.

Other than that, maybe consider getting an upgrade from the likes of The Carphone Warehouse.
 
As already said repeatedly, HTC Desire. I'll be getting one in the next two weeks either with Vodafone if they get their act together any time soon (expensive tariffs compared to T-Mobile) or by switching to the latter.
 
You can upgrade to pretty much anything as long as it's on a standard tariff. Just pop into a store as they can do exactly the same deals as they can over the phone. If you're near Bath then go there as I work there :p

Btw, just to let you all know, the HTC desire has been delayed due to some kind of ROM issue, won't be getting it now for at least another 2 weeks. Should have the X10 in stores by the coming friday though :)

I've come across some people on other forums who actually received their HTC Desire's from T-Mobile on Friday even though a delay on the handsets was announced due to a firmware/branding problem.

Odd.
 
Very strange, is that direct from T-mobile? If it's from mobiles.co.uk or mobiles direct that could explain it as they wouldn't have any branding?

Interesting, I am a new customer to T-mobile, just signed up to their £15 a month plan fo the desire and have had an email saying has been dispatched (on friday) and will be with me in 2 working days.

Will be interesting to see if it arrives or if I get some kind of email saying I have to wait another 2 weeks. Does anyone know what the ROM issue is?
