Just found this in my email. Only got around to registering a few days ago so..

Thank you for purchasing the EOS 350D and/or EOS 20D and/or EOS 5D and registering with the CANON iMAGE GATEWAY.

Due to a worldwide supply issue at SanDisk, Canon cannot provide you with a SanDisk 256MB CompactFlash® card. Therefore please find enclosed a SanDisk 512MB CompactFlash® card.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Chuffed :-)

I heard about this and was fuming that they had upgraded to 512 only a matter of days after receiving my 256Mb!!

I`m sure that link will work but i went to canon uk and registered for the image gateway thing. It probably redirected me to the link you have so i`d go for it m8.

Good luck and i hope you`re all as unfortunate as i`ve been :p

cheers for the info

anyone got the promotion code no handy? (on the sticker on the box) saves me having to wade through endless crap in my loft to find my box

Don't think you are able to do this. Although not sure because it may go off your Digital camera serial number.

I think everyone is going to get 512mb card as i was sent one last week, which i requested before xmas. I guess SanDisk have stopped making the 256mb cards and have now run out of stock.

You have to either create a new Canon Image Gateway account or add your new camera to your existing one. Either way it's individual to the camera.
